Deviled Burgers

Dating back to the 18th century, the term “deviled” means a particularly zesty seasoning. In the case of these burgers, that means horseradish, mustard, and cayenne.

Ingredients

> 1 1/2 tbsp jarred horseradish
> 1 lb 80% lean ground beef
> 2 tsp minced garlic
> 1 tsp mustard powder
> 1/2 tsp ground cayenne pepper
> 4 hamburger rolls

For Garnish:

> Green leaf lettuce leaves
> Ketchup
> Pickle slices
> Red onion

Set grill to medium-high. Drain the horseradish well. In a large bowl, gently mix the beef, horseradish, garlic, mustard powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Divide into 4 mounds and shape each into ½-inch-thick patty.

Grill burgers 5–6 min. per side or until desired doneness. Serve on the rolls with garnishes.
