If you love Bloody Marys, try this beer-based cocktail seasoned with zesty lime and tomato juice. Move over, margaritas, there’s a new Cinco de Mayo drink in town.
1 tsp coarse kosher salt
1/4 tsp chili powder
Ice, for serving
1/2 cup low sodium tomato or vegetable juice
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp hot sauce
2 (12 oz) cans light Mexican lager
In a small shallow dish, combine the salt and chili powder. Halve the lime and run the cut edge of lime around the rim of 2 pint glasses. One at a time, tip a glass on its side and roll the rim in chili-salt to coat. Fill glasses with the ice.
Squeeze juice from lime into a measuring cup or small pitcher, and stir in the juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Divide mixture between pint glasses. Pour a beer into each glass and stir to combine.
