Kentucky Hot Brown Patty Melts

Ingredients

> 4 uncooked turkey burgers (about 1 lb total)
> 4 slices white bread
> 4 tomato slices
> 8 slices cooked bacon
> 4 slices Swiss or Gruyère cheese
> Ketchup, mustard, for serving (optional)

Steps

Set grill to medium. Season the turkey burgers with salt and pepper. Place on grill and cook 5–6 min. per side, until cooked through. Place the bread slices on grill and cook 1–2 min. per side, until toasted. Transfer bread to cutting board or platter.

Place the tomato slices on burgers, then top with the bacon and cheese slices. Cover and cook 30 sec.–1 min., until cheese melts.

Transfer burgers to grilled bread slices. Serve immediately with ketchup or mustard, if desired.
