Heart Beet Stamps

Step 1: Halve 1 beet from stem to bottom.

Step 2: Using a paring knife, on the cut side of the beet trim the root end of the beet into a V-shape for a point.

Step 3: Cut a smaller V into the stem side until the beet resembles a heart.

Step 4: Using the beet’s pigment as a natural paint, have your child press the stamp onto paper.

Step 5: When color fades after a few uses, dip in a little water and blot off excess.

Step 6: Continue to stamp.

Potato XO Stamps

Step 1: Half 1 small potato. Place cut-side down.

Step 2: Using a paring knife, cut 4 small wedges from 4 sides of one potato half to create the X.

Step 3: Make an O from the remaining potato half by using a melon baller to create the center hole of the O.

Step 4: Wipe the potato dry with a paper towel.

Step 5: Put nontoxic washable paint/finger paint on a paper plate (adding a little glitter glue into the mix, if desired).

Step 6: Have your child dip the potato stamps into the pain and stamp an XO pattern onto the paper.

Celery Flower Stamps

Step 1: Cut celery hearts about 2-3 inches from the bottom (refrigerate remaining celery to eat).

Step 2: Wash and thoroughly dry the cut side of the celery.

Step 3: Put nontoxic washable paint/finger paint on a paper plate.

Step 4: Let your child dip cut side of celery into paint or use a brush to paint the celery.

Step 5: Press it firmly onto the cards.

Step 6: Draw in leaves for the flower, if desired.
