Mother’s Day is a great day to celebrate all the moms in your life—whether she’s your mom, grandma, sister, aunt, wife, or friend. Make this day all about Mom and make her feel special with little gestures and treats.
Here are some simple ways the family can celebrate.
1. If you can’t get to the store, have kids make their own cards and crafts to give to mom.
2. Make the day special with an activity Mom will enjoy. Maybe a picnic in the backyard, or even a picnic in the house, complete with a cozy blanket on the living room floor and her favorite music and games.
3. Get kids involved with planning Mom’s special day. Have them write out clues on little cards for a “treasure” hunt for some of Mom’s favorite snacks or treats hidden around the house.
Give Mom a break and have the kids write out vouchers for chores they are going to do for her. They will also love being a helper in the kitchen to prepare delicious treats for her, like super easy Raspberry-Rhubarb Cookie Bars.
4. Start a new meal tradition. It could be breakfast in bed, or a family brunch, or a special dinner—the possibilities are endless.
