3/4 cup rainbow sprinkles, divided

Preheat the waffle iron. Prepare cake mix according to package directions.

Stir ¼ cup sprinkles into cake batter. Spoon some batter onto hot waffle iron and close. Cook until golden brown. Let cool slightly.

Spread waffles with frosting and dip into remaining sprinkles. Serve immediately. Repeat with remaining cake batter, frosting, and sprinkles.
