1 1/2 cups water

1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats

1/4 tsp dried thyme

1/4 cup reduced-fat milk

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 tsp coarsely ground black pepper

3 tbsp sliced almonds

In a small pot, combine the water, oats, and thyme. Season with salt. Heat to a boil on high. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook 3–5 min., until thickened, stirring occasionally.

Remove pot from heat. Let sit 2 min. Stir in the milk, Parmesan, and pepper. Divide between 2 bowls and garnish with almonds.
