Ingredients

> 1 (8 - 10 lb) bone-in spiral-sliced half ham
> 2 cups packed dark brown sugar
> 1/2 cup honey
> 1 tbsp dry mustard powder
> 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
> 2 tsp ground ginger
> 1 tsp ground cloves
> Soft rolls, for serving

Steps

1
Preheat oven to 325°F. Remove packaging from the ham. Fit a roasting pan with a rack and fill with enough water to cover bottom by ½ inch. Place ham on rack flat-side down. Tightly cover pan with foil. Cook 14 min. per pound.
2
Meanwhile, into a medium pot, add the brown sugar, honey, mustard powder, vinegar, ground ginger, and ground cloves. Bring to a simmer on medium-high, stirring occasionally. Reduce to medium-low and simmer 10–15 min., until smooth and reduced.
3
Halfway through the ham cooking time, remove foil and brush with half of brown sugar glaze. Continue baking, uncovered, basting with pan juices occasionally. About 15 min. before cooking time is done, baste again with remaining half of brown sugar glaze.
4
Slice ham off bone and place on platter. Serve with the rolls.

Tips

Reserve 3 tbsp glaze before brushing the rest onto the ham, and stir reserved glaze into ½ cup Dijon mustard to serve with ham.
