Poolside Eats

A long day at the pool will tire you out and make you hungry! Here are a few recipes that you can pack to keep your energy up.

Summer days spent poolside are what memories are made of! Whether you are hosting, going to a friend’s house, or piling the kids in the car for a fun day at the community pool- you’ll want to make sure to have lots of tasty eats for the day.  Gather your pool day supplies (extra towels, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses) into a big bag and be sure to pack handy snacks and drinks in your cooler to keep everyone happy all day long.

For longer afternoons, you’ll need something more substantial to cover lunch time.  Quick and easy wraps and sandwiches are key, like Egg Salad Sandwiches, Prosciutto Panini with Pistachio Pesto, and Roast Beef and Cheddar Wraps.

Hot summer days are sure to make swimmers thirsty. While water is always key to keep everyone hydrated, why not try a refreshing non-soda thirst quencher that goes great in a cooler or thermos. Like this Summer Fruit Punch.

And don’t forget the munchies to keep energy up and kids of all ages happy, like Sweet Snack Mix, Fruit and Nut Energy Bars, and Granola Cookies.
