Ingredients

> 1 (7- 9 lb) bone-in shank ham
> 1 tsp whole cloves
> 1 orange
> 1 tbsp chopped rosemary
> 2 cups orange juice
> 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
> 1/2 cup apple jelly
> 1/2 cup grainy mustard
> 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
> 2 tbsp cornstarch

Steps

1
Score the fat on top of the ham and stud with rows of cloves. Piercing the ham first with a wooden skewer makes it easier to push in the cloves. Zest the orange. Chop the rosemary.
2
Meanwhile, add the remaining ingredients except for the cornstarch to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 1 min. Remove and whisk ingredients until smooth.
3
Set ham in the bowl of a 6–7 quart slow cooker and top with the glaze. Set temperature to low and cook for 6 hours.
4
Remove ham, reserving liquid in slow cooker, and set on cutting board. Tent with aluminum foil. For best results, allow ham to rest for 10 min. before slicing. Mix the cornstarch with ½ cup water and stir into reserved cooking liquid. Cover and continue to cook on low for 10 min. while the ham rests. Serve with thickened glaze.

Tips

Leftovers are perfect for melted cheese sandwiches.
