Apple “Donuts”

Do-nut be fooled—these delicious bites are actually apple slices! Add your favorite toppings like chocolate-hazelnut spread, cream cheese, sprinkles, or chocolate. Have kids decorate their own for a fun activity and snack in one.

Ingredients

> 2 crisp apples
> 1/2 cup nut butter, strawberry or regular cream cheese, and/or chocolate-hazelnet spread

To Serve:

> Fresh fruit
> Raisins
> Dried cranberries
> Granola
> Mini chocolate chips
> Sprinkles
> Coconut flakes

Slice the top and bottom off each apple and discard. Slice the apples into ½-inch circles. Using a melon baller or small ring cutter, cut out core from each apple ring to create a hole in the center, like a donut shape.

Spread the nut butter, cream cheese, or chocolate-hazelnut spread on each ring as desired. Top with the fruit, sprinkles, granola, chocolate chips, and/or coconut flakes, as desired.
