BBQ Chicken Meatball Sliders

Combining tender chicken meatballs with a tangy barbecue sauce and crunchy, vibrant slaw, these grilled sliders bring together all the best flavors of a summer cookout in a mini sandwich.

Ingredients

> 2 tbsp mayonnaise
> 2 tsp fresh lime juice
> 1/2 (12 oz) pkg rainbow slaw
> 2 green onions, chopped
> 1/4 cup chopped parsley
> 1 (16 oz) pkg Nature's Promise ® Mild Italian Chicken Sausage
> 1/2 cup hickory and brown sugar barbecue sauce, divided
> 1/2 (8 oz) bag finely shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
> 1 tbsp canola oil
> 1 (12 oz) pkg Hawaiian rolls

In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lime juice, salt, and pepper. To bowl, add the rainbow slaw, green onions, and parsley, tossing to combine. Refrigerate until needed.

Remove casings from the sausage. Add meat to a bowl along with ¼ cup barbecue sauce and the cheese. Season with salt and pepper and mix well to combine. Form sausage meat into 12 meatballs.

Set grill or grill pan to medium-high. Lightly brush grates with the oil. Grill meatballs about 6–8 min., until an instant-read thermometer reaches 165°F, basting with remaining ¼ cup barbecue sauce. Slice the rolls in half lengthwise. Divide meatballs among rolls and top with slaw. Serve immediately.
