Ingredients

> 1 (12 oz) bag frozen blueberries, thawed
> 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
> 1 tbsp honey
> 1 (2-inch) piece ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
> 1/4 tsp ground cayenne
> 1 medium orange

Steps

1
To a blender, add the blueberries, vinegar, honey, ginger, and cayenne. Zest half of the orange and squeeze juice from entire orange into blender. Purée until smooth. Strain mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a jar, pressing down on solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard solids.
2
Cover jar and refrigerate at least 1 hour, until chilled. Stir mixture and pour into shot glass–style glasses (2–3 oz capacity) for serving. Seal jar and refrigerate any remaining mixture for up to 3 days, stirring before serving.

Tips

For a fun sipper, add one shot to an 8-oz glass and top off with seltzer, to taste. Or, to freeze for future smoothies or drinks, pour mixture into ice cube trays and freeze until solid.
