Ingredients

> 1 apple, sliced
> 1/3 cup light brown sugar
> 1/3 cup apple cider or juice
> 2 tsp vanilla extract
> 1 tbsp apple pie spice
> 2 cinnamon sticks
> Ice cubes, as needed
> 2 cups cold brew coffee (not concentrate), divided
> 1 cup low-fat milk or plant-based milk, divided

Steps

1
To a small saucepan heated on low, add apple slices, brown sugar, apple cider, ¼ cup water, vanilla, apple pie spice, and cinnamon sticks. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Cover and simmer 15 min., until syrup starts to thicken. Remove from heat.
2
Strain the syrup into a glass jar and let cool to room temperature. Cover and store in the refrigerator until ready to use, or up to 1 week.
3
To assemble, add 2–3 tbsp of apple crisp syrup (depending on sweetness preference) to 2 (12 oz) glasses along with ice cubes, 1 cup cold brew, and ½ cup milk. Stir to combine and serve immediately.

Tips

If desired, garnish each drink with a fresh apple slice and an extra dash of apple pie spice seasoning.
