Cone-ucopia

Use ice cream cones and a little bit of water to create these adorable cornucopias chock-full of dried fruits and nuts.

Ingredients

> 6 ice cream sugar cones
> 1/2 cup freeze-dried apples
> 1/2 cup assorted dried fruit (such as cherries, raisins, and cranberries)
> 1/4 cup cashews
> 1/4 cup shelled pistachios
> 1/4 cup pecan halves

Working with 2 cones at a time, soak bottom 1½ inch of cones in cool water for 10 sec. Microwave 30 sec. (cone will be hot). Let cool slightly, then gently curl tips of cones. Let stand until dry

Repeat with remaining cones.

In a medium bowl, combine the apples, dried fruit, cashews, pistachios, and pecan halves. Spoon the nut and fruit mixture into each cone.

Tips

Cone-ucopias can be made up to 1 day in advance and stored in an airtight container.
