2 cups store-bought eggnog

2 cups low-fat milk

4 (0.74 oz) packets hot cocoa mix
>
3/4 cup Bourbon or rum (optional)
(Optional):

Mini marshmallows
>
Whipped cream
>
Nutmeg

In a medium pot, combine the eggnog and milk. Heat on medium-high until just simmering (do not allow to boil). Remove from heat and whisk in the hot cocoa mix. Stir in the alcohol, if desired.

Divide hot chocolate among 4 mugs (8–10 oz each). Top with the marshmallows and garnish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg, if desired.
