Ingredients

> 2 1/4 tsp ground cumin, divided
> 2 tsp garlic powder
> 2 tsp coarse salt
> 1 tsp black pepper
> 1 - 1 1/2 lbs beef top sirloin steak
> 4 kiwi fruit
> 1/4 red onion, finely chopped
> 1/2 small jalapeno pepper, finely diced
> 1 tbsp chopped cilantro
> juice 1/2 lime
> pinch sea salt

Steps

1
Remove steak from refrigerator about 2 hours before grilling. In a small bowl, mix 2 tsp. cumin, garlic powder, coarse salt, and black pepper thoroughly. Rub the mixture well onto both sides of the steak and leave out at room temperature until ready to grill.
2
Peel the kiwi, dice, and place in a medium bowl with the red onion, jalapeno (remove seeds and ribs for less heat, leave in for more heat), cilantro, lime juice, ¼ tsp. cumin, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
3
Set grill to medium high heat. Lightly oil the grill rack. Grill steak, covered, for 5-6 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°).
4
Remove steak from grill and let rest for 5 minutes. Serve with kiwi salsa.
