Ingredients

4 pears

3 cups dry white wine

3.5 oz blue cheese

1 tbsp honey

fresh thyme, to garnish

Peel the pears and cut them in half. Use a teaspoon or melon baller to remove the core from each half. Warm the wine in a pot and add the pears. Poach for 15 min. at a simmer.

Preheat the broiler. Spoon the pears from the liquid and place in a baking dish. Fill each pear-half with blue cheese. Drizzle with honey. Broil the pears for 2 min. or until the cheese begins to melt. Sprinkle fresh thyme over the pears. Serve immediately.
