Ingredients

3 oranges

1 (750 ml) bottle fruity red wine, like Beaujolais or Grenache

3/4 cup pineapple juice

1/3 cup brandy
>
3 tbsp honey
>
4 pieces star anise
>
1 cinnamon stick

6 whole cloves

Juice 2 oranges into a medium pot. Add the red wine, pineapple juice, brandy, honey, star anise, and cinnamon stick.

Heat to a simmer on medium. Reduce heat to low and gently simmer 15 min.

Meanwhile, cut the remaining orange into 6 wedges. Stud each wedge with a clove. Ladle mixture into mugs and garnish with orange wedges.
Tips
For a bigger party, double the recipe and serve from a slow cooker on the “Keep Warm” function.
