St. Paddy’s Freeze

Skip the drive-through on St. Patrick’s Day and blend your own minty green milkshake at home. Unlike the fast-food version, our recipe uses real milk and ice cream (it’s also so much fun to make). Use more milk or less depending on how thick you like your shake.

> 2 mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches
> 2 peppermint patties
> 3/4 cup vanilla ice cream
> 1/2 cup low-fat milk
> Green food coloring (optional)
> Whipped cream, peppermint patties, and chocolate syrup, for garnish (optional)


In a blender, combine the ice cream sandwiches, cookies, milk, and food coloring, if using. Blend 1–2 min., until smooth. Pour into the glass and garnish with the whipped cream, crushed cookies, and chocolate syrup, if desired.
