Eggs in a Nest for A Crowd

The traditional way of making this breakfast classic—in a skillet on the stovetop—limits you to cooking only 1 or 2 at a time. Instead, this oven method helps you feed a crowd of 6.

Ingredients

> 6 slices country white bread
> 6 large eggs

Steps

1
Preheat oven to 425°F. Coat a parchment-lined baking sheet with cooking spray.
2
With a 2½-inch cookie cutter, cut holes from centers of bread slices. Arrange bread slices and cut-outs on baking sheet and bake 5 min, until lightly toasted.
3
Add 1 egg to each hole and bake 8–12 min., until whites are set. Season with salt and pepper.

Tips

These eggs cook at just the right temperature for making bacon for a crowd too. Place a rimmed baking sheet with a single layer of bacon on the lower oven rack and bake 15–20 min., until crispy.
