1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter. softened, plus more for greasing

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x9-inch metal pan. In a large bowl, using a hand mixer or stand mixer on high speed, cream the butter and sugar 2–3 min., until fluffy. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each egg until combined. Add the flour and mix on low speed until just incorporated.

Add batter to prepared pan in an even layer (batter will be very thick). Scatter the blueberries evenly over batter. Bake 50–60 min., until top is golden and center is set. Let sit 10 min. before serving.
Tips
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
