Ingredients

> 1 (15.25 oz) pkg yellow cake mix
> 1/2 cup canola oil
> 3 large eggs
> 2 oranges
> 1 red grapefruit
> 1/2 cup evaporated milk
> 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
> 1/4 cup whole milk
> 1/8 tsp salt
> 2 cups light whipped topping, thawed

Steps

1
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare cake mix according to package directions, using the oil and eggs. Grate the zest from the oranges and grapefruit. Add half to the cake mix. Bake cake in a greased 13x9-inch cake pan according to package directions.
2
In a medium bowl, whisk remaining zest, evaporated milk, condensed milk, whole milk, and salt until combined.
3
Cool baked cake 5 min. With a thick skewer, poke cake all over. While cake is still warm, pour milk mixture over cake. Cool completely or refrigerate overnight.
4
Cut any remaining peel and pith from oranges and grapefruit. Thinly slice into rounds. Spread the whipped topping all over cake. Pat citrus slices dry. Arrange on top of cake.
