Ingredients
>
2 tbsp dried minced onion
>
1 tbsp white or black sesame seeds
>
1 tbsp poppy seeds
>
1/4 tsp coarse sea salt
>
1/4 tsp coarse ground black pepper
>
1 (8 oz) pkg garlic and herb goat cheese , softened
>
1/2 (15 oz) pkg refrigerated rolled pie crust, room temperature
>
2 medium tomatoes
>
1 egg yolk
Steps
1
Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, combine the minced onion, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sea salt, and pepper. Set aside 1 tbsp of mixture. To remaining sesame seed mixture, add goat cheese and stir until combined.
2
On lined baking sheet, unroll the pie crust. Spread goat cheese mixture onto the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
3
Thinly slice the tomatoes. Arrange tomatoes over the cheese. In small bowl, beat the egg yolk.
4
Gently fold edges of the dough up and over the tomatoes. Brush edges of crust with egg yolk and sprinkle with reserved sesame seed mixture. Bake 20 min., until bottom and edges are golden brown. Let cool completely before serving.
