Ingredients
>
1/4 cup less sodium soy sauce
>
1/4 cup brown sugar
>
2 tbsp hoisin
>
1 cup orange juice
>
2 tsp sesame oil
>
1 tbsp minced garlic
>
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
>
3 lbs boneless country-style pork ribs
>
3 tbsp cornstarch
>
2 tbsp sesame seeds
Steps
1
STEP 1 In a bowl whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin, orange juice, sesame oil, garlic, and red pepper. Place ribs in a 6-quart slow cooker and pour sauce mixture over the top. Cook on low for 4–6 hours.
2
STEP 2 Remove cooked ribs and place into a freezable container leaving the liquid in the slow cooker. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with ¼ cup water and stir into the sauce in the slow cooker. Cover, and cook an additional 10 min. or until sauce has thickened. Strain the sauce through a fine mesh strainer on top of the ribs. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Allow pork ribs to cool to room temperature and place the container in the freezer.
3
STEP 3 To reheat, thaw ribs in the refrigerator overnight. Preheat oven to 400°F. Place ribs uncovered in oven and cook for 20–25 min. or until liquid is bubbling.
