Ingredients
>
1 lb 90% lean ground beef
>
1/4 cup ketchup
>
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
>
2 tsp dry mustard
>
1 tsp garlic powder
>
1 tsp onion powder
>
1 (13 oz) bag restaurant-style tortilla chips
>
1 (8 oz) pkg reduced-fat shredded Cheddar cheese
>
1/3 cup chopped green onions (optional)
Steps
1
Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. To a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high, add the ground beef and cook 8–10 min., until brown. Season with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine the ketchup, Worcestershire, brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until smooth and set aside.
2
Scatter the tortilla chips on baking sheet in an even layer. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the chips. Bake until cheese is just melted, 5–7 min. Meanwhile, add ketchup mixture to skillet with beef. Simmer 1–2 min.
3
Once the cheese is melted, remove the nachos from the oven. Pour the sloppy joe mixture evenly over the nachos. Garnish with the green onions, if desired.
