Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces

2 cups chopped yellow onion

2 tsp minced garlic
>
1 cup chopped green bell pepper

32 oz pasta sauce
>
1 can ( 14.5 oz ) no-added-salt diced tomatoes, undrained
>
1 tbsp dried basil
>
1 tbsp dried oregano
>
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
>
6 slices Italian bread, sliced 1/4 inch thick

Spray a 6-quart slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.

Lay chicken chunks in the bottom of the slow cooker and top with all other ingredients except for cheese and bread.

Stir, cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours. Garnish with shredded cheese and serve with a side of toasted Italian bread.
