Ingredients

> 1 cup Mott's ® Applesauce
> 2 cups all-purpose flour
> 2 tbsp baking powder
> 1 tsp kosher salt
> 1/4 tsp ground allspice
> 1 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
> 1 tsp ground cinnamon
> 1/4 cup granulated sugar
> 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
> 2 large eggs
> 1 cup buttermilk

Steps

Preheat griddle.

Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, allspice, pepper, cinnamon, and sugar together in a medium bowl.

In another medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, egg, buttermilk, and applesauce.

Combine applesauce mixture and flour mixture.

Pour batter in ½-cup portions onto griddle.

Cook until golden brown on one side, then flip to cook the other side until golden brown.
