2 cups ground coffee

Stir coffee, spices, and vanilla together with 3 cups cold water in a large pitcher. For best results, leave to rest covered for 12 hours or overnight.

Arrange 3 sets of cheesecloth inside a fine mesh strainer and slowly strain coffee into a large jar or pitcher. Pour over ice and add equal parts water or milk.
