Tomato-Braised Green Beans

On nights when you’re craving Italian but don’t feel like indulging in a full carb-fest, try this flavorful side. We love it paired with steak.

Ingredients

> 1 (12 oz) pkg microwave-in-bag green beans
> 1 1/2 cups Nature's Promise® Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce
> 2 tbsp olive oil
> 4 fresh basil leaves

Steps

Cook the green beans according to package directions for microwave.

In a large pot, heat the pasta sauce and oil to a simmer on medium-high. Stir in the green beans. Cover and cook 2–3 min., until green beans are very tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

To serve, tear the basil and sprinkle on top.

Tips

To make ahead, follow STEPS 1–2. Cool completely and refrigerate until ready to serve. Microwave to reheat, then garnish with the basil.
