Apples with Crumb & Yogurt topping

The flavor of apple pie ŕ la mode without the guilt. The natural sweetness of apples needs just a touch of honey and brown sugar to shine. Baked until soft and with a crunchy topping, finish this fall desert with a drizzle of sweet-tart vanilla yogurt.

Ingredients

> 2 large eating apples, peeled, cored and halved
> 1 1/4 cup 100% apple juice
> 3 tbsp honey
> 2 tsp ground cinnamon, divided
> 3 whole cloves
> 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
> 1/4 cup oats (preferably old-fashioned)
> 1 tbsp brown sugar
> 1 tbsp canola oil
> 2 cups low-fat vanilla yogurt

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Put apple juice, honey, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and cloves into a small pan, bring to a boil, stir and simmer for 2 minutes. In a small bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar and remaining cinnamon. Add canola oil and mix together with fingers until crumbs form. Place apples in an ovenproof dish with the cut side facing up. Remove cloves and pour apple juice and honey mixture over apples. Sprinkle crumb topping into apple cavities.

Bake for about 30 minutes or until fruit is soft. Top each apple with 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt.
