Ingredients

4 shallots

1 small red cabbage

1 cup dry red wine

2 bay leaves

1 tbsp sugar
Steps

Thinly slice the shallots. Core and thinly slice the cabbage.

To a large greased pot, add shallots. Cook 2–3 min. on medium-high heat, until golden, stirring often.

Add the wine and bay leaves. Reduce heat to medium and simmer 5 min., until wine is reduced by half, stirring occasionally.

Stir in cabbage and sugar. Season with salt and pepper.

Cover with lid. Cook 15–18 min., until cabbage is tender, stirring occasionally.
