Ingredients
>
2 whole wheat or regular hamburger buns
>
2 tbsp olive oil, divided
>
1/2 tsp garlic powder, divided
>
1 1/4 lbs 93% lean ground beef
>
1/2 cup Heinz ® Ketchup
>
1/4 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
>
1 tbsp sweet relish
>
2 tsp apple cider vinegar
>
1 head red leaf lettuce
>
1 (7 oz) pkg reduced-fat shredded Cheddar cheese
>
3 Roma tomatoes
>
1/3 cup chopped dill pickles
Steps
1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment. Using a serrated knife, cut the buns into 1-inch pieces. In a medium bowl, gently toss the bread with 1 tbsp oil and the garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper. Spread bread onto prepared baking sheet. Bake bread 15 min., until lightly browned, tossing halfway through. Let cool.
2
In a 12-inch skillet, heat remaining 1 tbsp oil on medium-high. Add the beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook 8–10 min., until browned, stirring and breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon. Spoon off any excess fat.
3
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk the ketchup, mayonnaise, relish, and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Tear the lettuce into bite-size pieces. Divide lettuce among 4 shallow bowls. Spoon beef over lettuce. Top with the cheese, tomatoes, pickles, and croutons. Drizzle sauce over salads.
