Ingredients
>
1 medium to large sweet potato
>
1 tsp vegetable oil or olive oil
>
1/4 tsp garlic salt or sea salt
Steps
1
Preheat oven to 400°F. Scrub and dry sweet potato.
2
Cut the sweet potato as thin as possible, around 1/8" thick, or use a mandolin or food processor's slicing blade to create
rounds.
3
Place the sweet potato rounds in a medium bowl and toss with oil and salt. Arrange on foil-covered baking pan without overlapping rounds. Use additional pan if needed.
4
Bake for 7 to 8 minutes; remove from the oven and using small tongs, flip rounds.
5
Continue baking about 7 minutes more, or until the chips are golden brown. Do not let them char.
6
Remove from oven immediately and sprinkle with additional seasoning to taste. Let cool uncovered for a few minutes. Best served immediately.
