Penne with Meatballs and Italian Vegetables

Ingredients

> 12 oz penne pasta
> 4 slices bacon ( 3 1/2 oz ), diced
> 1/2 (16 oz) bag Nature's Promise Italian-style beef and pork meatballs
> 2 cloves garlic, chopped
> 1 (12 oz) pkg SteamReady mixed vegetables
> 1 (26 oz) jar tomato-basil pasta sauce
> 2/3 cup fresh basil

Steps

Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente.

Meanwhile, fry the bacon for 4 min. on medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook 2 min. Add the garlic and vegetables to the meat and stir-fry 3 min. on high heat. Add the pasta sauce and stir well. Simmer, covered, over low heat 5 min.

Remove the leaves from the sprigs of basil. Keep some basil for garnish and add the rest along with the pasta to the sauce. Garnish with reserved basil sprigs.

Tips

Serve with Parmesan cheese.
