4 whole wheat pitas

1/2 (14 oz) pkg smoked turkey sausage

1 cup pizza sauce

1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup chopped fresh broccoli florets
>
Crushed red pepper flakes, to garnish (optional)

Position rack in upper third of oven and preheat to 450°F. Place the pitas on a large parchment-lined baking sheet. Halve the sausage lengthwise, then thinly slice into half-moons.

Using a spoon, spread the pizza sauce onto each pita and sprinkle with the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Top pitas with the broccoli and sausage. Bake 8–10 min., until cheese is melted and bubbly and pitas are crisp. Serve sprinkled with the crushed red pepper flakes, if desired.
