Steak Sandwiches

It’s worth grilling extra steak, just so you can make these amazing sandwiches the next day. The creamy horseradish sauce adds just the right amount of bite.

Ingredients

> 3 red onions
> 3 tbsp olive oil
> 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
> ½ cup ricotta cheese
> 1 tbsp prepared horseradish
> 1 tsp dried dill
> 1 cup roasted red peppers, drained
> 1 baguette
> 1 (5 oz) pkg baby romaine lettuce
> 8 oz grilled steak, sliced

Steps

Cut the onion into rings. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Fry the onion on low heat for about 15 min. or until soft and brown, stirring frequently. At the 10 min. mark, add the vinegar, pepper and salt.

While the onions caramelize, mix the ricotta with the horseradish and dill. Season with salt and pepper. Cut the roasted red peppers into strips.

Cut the baguette in half lengthwise. Cover the bottom half with lettuce and peppers. Top with steak, onions, and the ricotta mixture. Cover with the top of the bread.
