Ingredients

1 1/3 cups Brussels sprouts

1/4 cup walnuts

2 firm pears

5 oz goat cheese

Clean the Brussels sprouts. Coarsely chop the walnuts and toast them without oil or butter in a frying pan for 3 minutes. Let them cool.

Bring just enough water to a boil in a pan so that the steam basket does not touch the water. Add the Brussels sprouts to the steam basket and steam them till they are al dente (15 minutes)

In the meantime, peel the pears, cut them into wedges and remove the cores. Then cut the wedges into small pieces.

Mix the Brussels sprouts with the pear and crumble the goat cheese over it. Sprinkle to taste with the walnuts and pepper.
