Ingredients
>
2 tsp canola oil
>
1 lb 93% lean ground beef
>
2 cups fresh corn kernels (from 3 ears of corn)
>
1 large tomato, chopped
>
1/2 cup ketchup
>
2 tbsp brown sugar
>
1 tbsp yellow mustard
>
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
>
1/2 tsp garlic powder
>
6 brioche buns, toasted
Steps
1
In a 12-inch nonstick pan, heat the oil on medium-high. Add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook until mostly browned, about 3–4 min., breaking up meat with a spatula.
2
Stir in the corn and tomato. Cook 1–2 min., until tomatoes begin to break down, stirring occasionally.
3
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, stir together the ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder.
4
Stir ketchup mixture into beef. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook 3–4 min., until beef is cooked through, stirring often. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Scoop meat mixture onto the buns and serve.
