Tomato Tulips

They look like decorations but these flowers are for eating. Bring them to your next picnic or party as an easy appetizer.

Ingredients

> 1 oz fresh chives
> 2 1/2 oz cream cheese
> 16 Roma tomatoes

Steps

Chop ¼ of the chives and mix with the cream cheese.

Cut the tomatoes crosswise on top to slightly below the middle. Make a hole through the bottom with a skewer.

Scoop the seeds from the tomatoes and fill with the cream cheese mixture.

Plug every hole with a chive. Place the tomatoes on a plate in the shape of a bunch of tulips. Tie the bunch together with a chive.

Tips

You can make this dish one day in advance. Store covered in refrigerator. Add the chives just before serving.
