Ingredients

12 oz penne pasta, uncooked

6 slices thick-cut bacon, cut into 1/4-inch strips (about 1/2 lb)

1 tbsp sambal oelek (Asian chili-garlic paste)

1 jar (24 oz) Bertolli ® Organic Tomato & Basil Sauce
>
1/2 cup grated pecorino Romano cheese

Cook pasta in salted water 1 min. less than directed on package; drain.

Meanwhile, cook and stir bacon in large skillet on medium-high heat 8 min. or until crisp; drain and return to pan.

Add sambal, marinara and cooked pasta to skillet with bacon. Toss constantly over medium heat 1-2 min. or until pasta is heated through and well coated with sauce. Remove pan from heat; stir in cheese.
Tips
Cook 1 small chopped red onion with the bacon until caramelized for an extra flavorful dish.
