Ingredients

> 4 clementines, peeled and segmented
> Toothpicks, as needed
> 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Toppings (Optional):

> Unsweetened coconut flakes
> Chopped nuts
> Sprinkles

Steps

1
Line a baking sheet with parchment. Cut off the bottom third of each segment crosswise, on a downward angle from inner segment to outer segment, to form the shape of a half heart. Connect 2 slices at cut ends to form a full heart and pierce through the center of both slices with 1 toothpick to attach. Repeat with remaining segments (you should have about 20 hearts total).
2
In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the chocolate chips in 30-sec. intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth. Carefully dip and coat the bottom half of each clementine heart. Set on parchment-lined baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle with any of the garnishes and then let chocolate set.
