4 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes

1 cup whole milk

2 sticks butter

Peel and quarter the potatoes. In a large saucepot, combine potatoes and enough water to cover by 2 inches. Season with salt (in moderation).

Partially cover pot and heat to a boil on high. Reduce heat to a simmer. Cook 20 min., until potatoes are very tender.

Drain potatoes and transfer to a large bowl. Add the milk and butter and mash to desired consistency. Season with salt (in moderation) and pepper.
