2 1/4 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes (about 4 medium-sized potatoes)

1 cup light cream

1 tsp minced garlic

3 oz sliced ham

3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 450°F. In a medium glass or plastic bowl, combine the cream and garlic and microwave for 1 ½ min., or until hot. Set aside.

Using a food processor fitted with a slicing disk, thinly slice the unpeeled potatoes. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray, and arrange half of the potatoes in the bottom. Roughly tear the ham into pieces and place over the potatoes. Top with the remaining potatoes, then pour the cream over top. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 15 min.

Remove the foil and sprinkle with the shredded Parmesan cheese. Return to oven to bake for another 5–10 min., or until cheese is golden brown and potatoes are tender. Let cool before serving.
