Sunshine Wellness Shots

These quick shots made with fresh citrus and ginger for a spicy-sweet boost are great for cold season. They’re great to start your day or as an afternoon pick-me-up.

Ingredients

> 2 medium carrots, peeled and chopped
> 1 (1 - inch) chunk fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
> 3 cups store-bought orange juice
> 2 lemons
> 1/4 cup honey
> 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
> 2 tsp turmeric

Steps

To a blender, add the carrots and ginger. Pulse to purée. Add the orange juice, juice from lemons, honey, cayenne, and turmeric. Blend until smooth and fully combined.

Pour mixture into a 4 oz glass for serving. Refrigerate remaining juice to drink throughout the week.

Tips

Juice will get spicier the longer it’s refrigerated.
