Mother’s Day Heart Cake

> 2 boxes cake mix
> 2 cans buttercream icing
> food coloring
> water
> butter or vegetable oil
> eggs


Grease one 8 in. round cake pan and one 8 in. square cake pan. Preheat oven.
Follow directions on cake mix box. Split batter between the two pans. Bake.
Mix icing with food coloring. Cut a tiny hole in the corner of a plastic bag and add darker icing.
Once cooled, use a serrated knife to cut the round cake in half. Make a heart by putting the two halves on the edges of the square.
Ice the cake, write a sweet message to your loved one, and send them a picture!
